I have had both the honor and the pleasure of performing with The New York
Reflections. This
group of gentlemen professionally opened the show and put on a
performance which any group would envy. The New York Reflections are
from left to right above: Dennis Harrington, Al Innella, Joe Orlando,
Jerry Frulio, Bobby Z. and Al Tohn.
The New York Reflections
were originally formed in the Rosedale area in the Borough of Queens, New York
City
That's me,
right smack dab in the middle, after the show, posing with the
"always-in-demand"
Lenny Cocco & The Chimes. They are a super performing group
as well as a group of true gentlemen who I am very proud to know! Their
well-known hits-"Once in a
While"-"I'm in The Mood For Love" & many others! UPDATE 2008: Lenny Cocco and The Chimes, as pictured above,
have dissolved the group and no longer perform or have a website together.
Before the show,
a picture with a legend, Nick Santo, lead vocalist of "The Capris" Their
"signature songs"-"There's a Moon Out Tonight" & "Morse Code
of Love" The Capris have recorded many other hit songs!
A good
friend, an absolutely great showman and a genuine gentleman, Larry Chance of "Larry Chance & The
Earls" Hits
include-"Never"-"Remember Then"-"Life is But a Dream"-"I Believe"-"Eyes" and
the list goes on and on! (Click on the
picture above to visit Larry's website!)
Here I am with Bob Villano,
talented performer of
"The Fireflies." Their big "hits" were "You Were Mine"
& "I Can't Say Goodbye"
You definitely must hear their rendition of "The Duprees" song "Have You Heard."
It will literally blow you away! (Click on the
picture above to visit the website of The Fireflies)
A picture
with the one and only Cleveland Still (center) & The Dubs. Their big "hit" was "Could This Be
Magic" (Always loved that song & their many other hits too!)
The Dubs have been around for decades pleasing audiences with their performances!
Here I am with another good
friend and a well-known legend in music. It's Vito Picone of Vito Picone & The Elegants.
"The Elegants" blasted onto the record charts back in 1958 with
the super hit "Little Star." Vito co-wrote the song and
performed the lead vocal to it and it turned out to be a chart buster! Vito and the group are still going strong,
and although many groups, which started back around the same time as they did, no longer
sound anywhere even close to how they did back in the late 50's & early 60's,
Vito Picone & The Elegants still sound every bit as good today as they did back then!
A dynamite performer is Barbara
Harris of "Barbara Harris & The Toys." In 1965 they recorded, "A Lover's
Concerto" and they were firmly planted in the "Top Ten." Barbara is still
performing today and drawing audiences all over the country! Click on the
picture above to visit Barbara's website!
Here I am with Timothy Wilson of
Frankie Lymon's Teenagers. Timothy is the lead vocalist of the group, and
he does a excellent job of belting out all of the familiar "Frankie Lymon & The
Teenagers" hits!
It's me with Joe Terry of Danny
& The Juniors. Their hits were "At The Hop," "Rock & Roll Is Here
To Stay," as well as many others.
The group has since disbanded and no longer has a website.
"Hangin' out
with the ever-popular Mickey B." at Radio Station WGBB for a LIVE "on-the-air" interview.
Now, this page is actually my "good friends"
groups
page, and although
Mickey is
not a "group," per se, he is a
very good friend and a well-known and popular
radio and television personality whom I have personally known for over 30
years. Therefore, I can say without any reservation whatsoever that he truly is "The
Prince of Rock & Roll." For more
information about "The Prince" please click on the picture above and you will
instantly arrive at Mickey B.'s website!
On Sunday August 7th 2016 I was privileged to be invited to take the stage
along with Long Island's own home-town and Premier entertainment
group, the fabulous RISKY BUSINESS! Represented above are just a
few members of the group. RISKY BUSINESS is composed of eight (8)
very energized and talented vocalists and musicians. If you haven't had the opportunity to see RISKY
BUSINESS perform their expansive repertoire then you haven't had the opportunity to see
the absolute very best in musical and vocal talent that Long
Island has to offer!
